How Lael Digital collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit laeldigital.com or get in touch with us.
1. Who is the data controller
The controller of your personal data is Lael Digital, obrt za usluge, Hromec 63, 49225 Đurmanec, Croatia, OIB (Croatian tax ID): 47634824764 ("Lael Digital", "we", "us").

2. What data we collect
- Contact form data: full name, email address, website or company name (if provided), approximate monthly ad budget and the content of your message.
- Direct communication: data you send us by email or WhatsApp (e.g. name, phone number, message content).
- Website usage data: with your consent, we use cookies to collect information about your visit (e.g. pages viewed, traffic source, device type, approximate country or city). This data is not used to identify you directly.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Responding to your enquiry and preparing a proposal: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Website analytics (Google Analytics): your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Ad measurement, optimisation and remarketing (Google Ads, Meta): your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Essential cookies and site security: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
You can withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the page footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
4. Cookies
Analytics and marketing cookies are only activated after you give consent. Until then we use Google Consent Mode, which does not store analytics or advertising cookies.

5. Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We use trusted service providers that process it on our behalf (processors):
- Netlify: website hosting.
- Formspree: receiving contact form submissions.
- Google (Google Workspace, Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads): email, analytics and advertising.
- Meta (WhatsApp, Meta ads): communication and advertising.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area and the UK, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and for any resulting cooperation, and no longer than 24 months after our last communication, unless we are legally required to keep it longer (e.g. accounting rules if you become a client). Cookie durations are listed in the table above.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR (and the UK GDPR) you have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy,
- have inaccurate data corrected,
- have your data erased ("right to be forgotten"),
- restrict processing,
- data portability,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- withdraw your consent at any time.

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (azop.hr) or, if you are in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
